Art of Animation?

I am planning a surprise trip for my daughter's 4th birthday. I am technically a single mom because my husband passed away a month before my daughter was born. However, I have had a boyfriend for 2 years and my daughter loves him like he is her father. We are definitely getting married one day just not yet. here is my dilemma: we are very christian and do not believe in living together or anything before marriage but he is going to join us on this trip. It would obviously be cheaper if he were to stay in our room but doesn't that set a bad example for my daughter? We are thinking about staying in the Art of Animation. Does anyone have experience with this hotel? What do you think? Should we stay here or would somewhere else be better for her birthday? My main question is what do you guys think about rooms? SHould we get one mermaid room or two? or should we get one of the suites? The reason I am leaning towards the mermaid is because my daughter loves that movie. any help would be appreciated!

I stayed in one of the family sweets at the Nemo building. Two rooms, and three beds. You can stay in the bedroom proper, and your bf and daughter can decide who gets the pull-out sofa bed and who gets the murphy bed. Also, they have two bathrooms, so that's a plus.

Share a bed with your daughter. Boyfriend sleeps solo. Explain to your daughter that this sharing a room while unmarried is an exception not the rule. Don't get a suite so there's no temptation to rearrange things so your kid has her own bed. And know that the exhaustion you'll feel hitting the parks from dawn to dusk will do more to keep things chaste than any promise of purity. And if anyone has anything to say about it, hand them some stones and a sin to-do check list and let them know They better not have anything to check off before they start throwing.

I don't necessarily share your concerns about the perception of propriety, but if I did, that's how I'd handle it.

Only you can decide if you feel the sleeping arrangements set a bad example or not. The suites are cute and offer a lot more room than a standard room. The Mermaid rooms are adorable, especially if she is a big LM fan. If you get two LM rooms, request adjoining rooms.

Since this trip is for your daughter's birthday and she love Little Mermaid, I would save the money and try to get a LM room. I agree with a previous poster that if you are concerned about appearances, you and your daughter share one double bed and your boyfriend sleeps in the other. You certainly won't have to worry about what anyone else at DW thinks of this. AoA LM rooms are very popular, so you will probably need to book many months in advance, or be flexible with your dates.

I'd agree LM is the way to go if you're daughter is a fan. My extended family went last year and we almost got a suite vs a LM standard room and thank goodness we didn't......the ear piercing screams from my ecstatic cousins (4 all under 8 yrs old) was proof we made the right choice.

Whether you get one or two may depend on your preferences and/or budget but we requested a block of rooms together and were obliged.

Not to totally contradict my advice before but there is one advantage to getting a suite I hadn't thought of before - his and hers bathroom arrangements.

Your daughter would probably love the Nemo Suites just as much or better. We take my daughter's boyfriend with us, so we always get a suite. He has his own bathroom, and we have a bedroom with a door for privacy when dressing. The LM rooms are soooo small, there is just no privacy whatsoever, and they are very noisy at night.
