Art of Animation Little Mermaid? Any one booked recently for summer?

So after months of planning, my mother has decided to join us (me, husband, and 8 year old )on our trip to WDW in August. Her flight is booked so there is no backing out. The problem is we have AOA Little Mermaid reserved (and paid for). She doesn't want to share a room with us because the beds are too close together. Suites are not an option because of price. The easy solution would be to get her another room. Problem is they are showing no availability for August. Any suggestions?
Anyone book it recently after persistence ?

I don't have any experience with this problem, but I would say keep trying to see if something opens up. If not, is it possible to get her a room at Pop Century? It's within walking distance from one another...

I booked Mermaid for December, so I can't speak as to having bad any problems on that end.
In your case, I think you've two choices. One, book at Pop Century if there are openings. It's directly across the lake from AoA.
Two, keep checking to see if something opens at Mermaid for your time frame.

Did you only check online or did you call Disney? If you have also done this, have you tried a travel agent that specializes in Disney? They may be able to help you more.

We were then in February and made a reservation for AOA LM room day of with no issue. I don't have experience with persistent calls to AOA but I did with PORS. I wanted a Royal Room, during free dining last year and after calling every day, I got it. I literally called every day for a week!

Just a little heads up about the Little Mermaid rooms they are a far walk from the central building. I would try to book a suite it is very close to the same price and a lot closer to all the action. That way if the little one gets tired and your mom you still have the freedom to go out and about too.

Actually, it is about a hundred dollars difference between 2 value rooms & a suite. It's not really that far of a walk unless, you need to make several trips for morning Java or Soda!:)

One Little Spark...
I'd let her book Pop. It might be kind of fun to be able to have your choice of both pools and stuff. We loved staying at AOA when it first opened.

If you stay at Pop, you are not allowed to use the AoA pools and vice versa.
