Totally bummed after the high of last night getting my first PIN..I called last to ask WDW which resorts had a lock-off with a 1 bedroom and the CM is one that told me about the PIN..she even gave me a quote...I wrote it down and did a little happy dance...I called my dad who will be traveling with us to tell him the good news about the price..another happy dance...well called back today bcuz I forgot to ask about the view and the CM was WRONG !!!! She misquoted and my room was a one bedroom NOT a two bedroom !!!! AND she told me my PIN was 30% and it's NOT is 20% !!!!! Soooo now we are back to sqaure one !!!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Maybe it wouldn't hurt to call one more time and see what a 3rd person says. I always have problems with them. 1 person will tell you one thing and another will tell you something different. It's annoying, I know! If this doesn't work out for you then hopefully some other offer will come along for you. Sorry for the frustration!!

I agree. It seems how informed CMs are depends on what CM answers your call. Sometimes you have to make multiple calls on something and hope that the most popular answer is the right answer. Give them another call and see what the third CM has to say.

If you are in doubt, talk to the cm's supervisor, and if that isn't satisfactory go over the supervisors head and talk to his/her manager. Keep kicking it up the ladder until you get the answer that you want.
Enjoy the trip.

Unfortunately some of what the second one said is proving true...there is no two bedroom layout at AKL - Kidani, so she did only quote me a 1 bedroom...What is the normal rate for a PIN does anyone know?

There is no set amount. Eben the same pin can generate different discounts at different resorts.

Do they mail them to you or just hope you call in ?
They come either via email or snail mail.

Lately I have been having the same experience. I have learned that calling multiple times really helps. Sometimes I really feel for the CM because things change so often in the world of discounts and such. That would have to get really frustrating for them. However, sometimes I feel like I am more knowledgeable than some of the guest vacation planners. (Some NOT all) Maybe I just spend too much of my spare time reading Disney sites. :)

As a former CRO cast membber I can tell you...

...the quality of people on the phones has declined at a faster rate than those in the parks. You find bright spots in both, which is great, but I find more often than not despite having worked there over 20yrs ago I know more than they do. We've been told all kinds of crazy things over the years from only being able to book dinners 30days in advance to being able to book dinners at any time regardless of whether your staying on property or not (both are wrong by the way). I booked at the Coronado Springs and my reservation showed I was booked at the Carribean Beach Resort (and it was not changed by Disney). I've had them read my information back to me with errors eventhough I've corrected them several times, as if they just really don't care. And worst of all I had one who booked my stay and when I called back 10min later to see if I could add another day, they had no record of my reservation and the reservation number I was given was completely bogus (i.e. it didn't reflect the sequence numbers being used at the time).

At my former employer where I did quite a bit of consulting for Disney I could book their hotels directly through our travel system and avoid Disney Reservations - that's was the life!

Friends received pin code for free dining. It took me three different calls to help them use their code for their trip at the resort they were looking for...or at least the resort level they were looking for.
