According to mouseplanet.com, Ariel's Grotto was "tentatively" to have been done by November 11th and the 20,000 Leagues area was to be done by November 19th. Have the walls come down yet? Anyone have any pictures?? Thanks for the info!!

The walls were still up this weekend. With the lost days due to the storms in August/September, I would not be surprised if it is delayed a few weeks.

Ah yes! I didn't take that into consideration. Thanks!

On the subject, I was wondering what they did with the King Triton statue that used to be in the lagoon.

they probably bulldozed it under a pile of dirt with the rest of my childhood memories

Sorry I miss that stupid ride.

Anybody ridden Dumbo lately and peeked over the wall? The last pic I saw posted about 2 weeks ago looked like there was nothing there but dirt. I don't see how they get this done before Thanksgiving. I was just curious because I hadn't seen any updated photos.

I didn't get any pics but when I was up there today, there was a concrete pumper truck in the area closest to Tea Cups. Sounds like they are finally putting some sort of a surface down.

Thanks. The WDW website says Ariels' Grotto is supposed to open on Nov. 19th, and MousePlanet has that as the date the whole wall comes down. That's this weekend, and that seemed a bit ambitious in light of the last pictures I saw. But concrete is a good sign - maybe they're finally past the fill stage and into construction (from the rumors, there's probably not much construction to do  ).

Maybe they're taking down the wooden wall and replacing it with one of those hedge walls?

I agree with you. I myself didn't care for the ride cause I have a wee little fear of being submerged in water but...it still is apart of my childhood and I still miss it. I still remember my first and final ride on 20K.
