Are you allowed to share a table service meal?

Have I told you lately that I 👍 you?
I kind of feel like that but wouldn’t scrimp on tips. Honestly though, Disney charge so much, why can’t they just pay their CM a good living wage! How can you charge over $500 a night for some hotel rooms and yet pay the maids so little they rely on tips
Yep, and they seem to be cutting back on them too! Last time I went (pre-covid), I stayed at Beach Club in a deluxe studio for well over $500 a night (non-DVC) and they had a cart parked outside my room all day but never cleaned it, but by God, on the day of check out there was somebody knocking on my door waking me up by 8am trying to get in and clean! Even the $80/night off-site economy hotels will change your towels and sheets unless you decline the service and will give you a little time after sunrise before they try to get you out.

To the point about tipping though, I usually travel solo (not many friends willing to get up at 2am with me to do race weekends 😁), but even at that will tend to tip over and above because I feel bad tying up an entire table just for one. I think there’s a lot of folks out there that just aren’t going to tip well, but there’s an awful lot of us out there that make a point to go a bit above too!

You pay the maximum you allow them to charge.

Florida is the land of depressed wages for tourism

That’s all I got 👍🏻

For sure, unless it's a buffet/all-you-can-eat or character meal which make sense. At a buffet/AYCE each person is paying for the food and at a character meal each person is paying for the experience.

I just went to MK the other day and my friend and I shared a dinner at Skipper Canteen. We shared an app, entree, and dessert and each got an alcoholic drink. We had been eating all day and didn't want a full meal. Plus I don't eat much at once anyway. But it was fun to experience the restaurant and sit, relax, and be waited on in the middle of our busy park day when we were so tired. And we ordered enough to not gyp our server, but even if you only ordered one entree to split, you have the right to do that. Or even just a dessert. It doesn't matter.

Former Disney server here: no policy against plate sharing except at family style/buffet locations. Was I ever annoyed by this if a guest did it? Nope! Sooooometimes it was slightly annoying if a guest just came in for the soup and breadsticks and not order an actual meal BUT I was annoyed at Disney for not offering this item at a quick service location rather than the guest, as they had no other option in venue to order this item.

saying all that, order what you want, enjoy the experience, be courteous to the cast, and everyone is going to have a great experience:D

I have always wished that they added some of the smaller items as a quick service. The wonton soup at Yak and Yeti is just the right portion for me that can easily be served up at their quick service location.
