Are Weekends Busier (Sept22-29)

Firsts thread ever posted. Am taking DH (41y) & DS (5y) to Disney World Sept 22nd - 29th. Am trying to decide what days to go to each park. If things are busier on weekends I think we should not attempt MK on Sat/Sun. Does anyone know how much busier MK will be on Weekend? We have park hopper and water park options.

Try touringplans.com they give you info on what parks are best to visit and which ones to stay away from on a daily basis. They also predict the overall business each day.

If you want to check touringplans, do it now because you can see your dates. It will only show data for dates 30 days out from today and onward. It hides dates within the next 30 days so you will sign up.

Personally, I would not go to MK on a weekend if I can avoid it. It is already the most popular park, so no need to add locals and weekend warriors to the mix.

I would much rather do MK on Sunday then on Monday, it always seems busier on Mondays because many people check in on Sundays and they want MK to be their first park.

As busy as things can be, try to check your schedule against Extra Magic Hours. If you are staying on property, you can stay later and take advantage of shorter lines, etc. If you aren't staying on property, you can at least try to avoid the parks that will have more people waiting around for the EMH to start.

In my experience, Friday and Saturday night have always been more crowded than most weeknights.
