Are the Epcot flood lights in World Showcase on every night or just for the holidays?

Some of those are really tacky.. I hope they are just for the holidays? France looks like a football stadium at night with those lights hanging over the cafe.

They tend to fire those up during events and busy periods. NYE, Food and Wine, Holidays Around the World etc.

They are similar to these, except on much higher trusses (proper term?)

Yeah, I was thinking those, but know they telescope up each night, but these others sound more like some sort of emergency lighting. I'll have to check next week myself.

I miss Tapestry dearly (the reason these lights were first installed). I don't care for the athstetics of them either but they could figure out a way to hide them better like they do in the UK pavilion windows. I'm not a fan of the ROE searchlights being constantly elevated the entire day though.

They were on last week. I didn't care for them either. There were times where they were shining in your face where you couldn't see what was directly in front of you.

They come on typically when the park is busy after dark.

The rooftop versions are actually from the 1988 IllumiNations neon displays.
