Was really hopeful that it would be gone by our visit on March 27th, but I guess I'll just have to work some Photoshop magic too.

Compare that to a list of Disneyland refurbs during the same period. I bet it's twice as many refurbs. And looking at it briefly it doesn't look like much at all considering that's all four parks and hotels/restaurants.
But it's still far from absolutely zero. ;) But you're right about Disneyland being much better about regular refurbs than MK is. Much of what's happening now is more of a response to an existing problem than a preemptive strike.

Mk may be looking horrible at the moment but at least they're doing a lot of refurbs. I must say I think since gk stepped in there's been a lot done to try and better the guest experience - not all but it's a step in the right direction and it makes the parks look a lot nicer. I think sometimes people give TDO too much flack. I went to dlp in August and things are more worst there-paint chipping is the biggest problem and rude French who decide to jump over the rails to sit on the grass, which is probs why there's loads of paint chip in the hub but I digress. Also the lights down Main Street don't all come on. Just please the castle needed a refurb and I can't recall when it last got one, so at least they're doing it and not sitting in their offices. I think this has improved with the splash refurb last year and this and I hope it will only get better from herein.

From both my recolleciton of trips during that time and looking at http://www.wdwmagic.com/refurbishments-history.htm, it sure seems like there were plenty or refurbs during thos eyears.
lots of bad rehabs. That is how splash got That awful that tarps over loading zone were needed. Or how about kali coming back on. Nothing done and rafts were not even washed. Still had mildew mold the day it came out of rehab. Happened with the land too. They call it rehab but often just a seasonal shut down Cost cutting
