Are the Backlot Tour boneyard props real?

Forgive me if this is obvious, but are the props in the boneyard real?

I don't know why I'm putting myself through the emotional turmoil of watching videos of the Backlot Tour pre-Lights, Motors, Action! but I am. And the guide said that the plane in the boneyard is the back half of the Casablanca plane, and that the front half is in the Great Movie Ride. I know this is a hotly debated topic that may or may not be true, and that uncertainty, along with the fact that each prop isn't really explained (then and now), made me wonder whether or not they are actually legit. It seems like such a shame that they would just leave them outside, and that they are rarely updated. Granted the attraction as a whole needs a revamp (it's become more of a napping venue than an attraction at this point). Thoughts?

It must have been some very strange looking plane. The front of the plane is allegedly in the Great Movie Ride, the back is in the bone yard and the back is also in Jungle Cruise. Now maybe the move it back and forth from the bone yard to the Jungle Cruise, but, otherwise something there does not add up.
BTW, all indications are the none of those are the actual plane from Casablanca, which probably wasn't a real plane either.

I realize it was probably just a setpiece, but if the CM's aren't accurate about that (even if the mouse told them to say it), then it's difficult for me to believe some of the other things they say in the Backlot Tour, as well.

The backlot tour used to be much more of an actual studio tour, so looking at a boneyard of movie props made sense. Now that it's no longer a studio tour, the movie prop part seems so randomly stupid.

Once again, I will quote Michael Eisners words when Disney/MGM opened..."Welcome to the Hollywood that never was and always will be."
Most of the information that the CM's have about stuff like that originated with a bus driver or someone of similar "in the know" status. I don't remember any plane parts back when the Backlot was new. There were some complete planes in the lot that you circled before entering the costuming tunnel and, of course, Walt's old plane, but since then if a plane part has been added to the bone yard, it was never pointed out as being in Casablanca or any other film. When the tour was young they had live tour leaders announcing what you were looking at. It's been a lot of years since that was the case. My guess is that somebody guessed that it had to do with the movie and word spread from there, via the bus drivers or others. So actually no one of consequence has made any attempt to mislead anyone. Just rumor based conversation. There was also a pool there that they always talked about being the place where the underwater scenes were filmed for the Hulk Hogan TV program was on during the late 70's, I believe. Was it? Damned if I know, but, what harm did it do. The original rumor (or possibly fact) was that the tail section of the plane seen in the Jungle Cruise was the other end of the plane seen in the Great Movie Ride. The rumor later bloomed into it being the actual plane that was used in Casablanca, but that was never said by Disney, just people hoping to make their visit a little more memorable.

Also -- enjoy the backlot tour while you still can -- it's slated to go the way of the dodo in the near future to make room for Carsland...
