the 3-D glasses for shows like Philharmagic or Bugs Life are reused right? im assuming they are since they collect them in a bin after the show and i cant imagine them just throwing the glasses in the trash. but the real question is do they clean these glasses in any way or are you wearing the dandruff and sweat covered disgustingness of the guest who wore them before you? kinda gross if you are. and i am by no means a germ freak but this definitely cant be sanitary. people have rashes and stuff. great shows though. enjoyed them both alot.

Yes they are cleaned. Each night they are loaded into the trays and taken over to somplace by Epcot where they are put through a washing machine type dealy.

I would be more worried about pink eye than dandruff and sweat.

As a recent high school grad I can tell you that our Chem. Lab had a sanitation cabinet that would hold approximatly 50 glasses and took about 25 mins to sanitize them. As for Disney they could have a very large one of these or lots of them, who knows, but i would assume they do something to avoid the possibility of wide spread germs and diseases.

Just curious Mike, did you develop a rash or a bad case of dandruff after viewing a 3-D attraction?

Well I suppose you could carry those wet wipe sanitizing thingys and a quick wipe down before the show. Never really thought about this but, might not be a bad idea.............. :veryconfu

Really not necessary.

They wash them after every use.

They have a facility in the area behind "Honey I Shrunk The Kids" that cleans the glasses for all of the parks (they are color coded). It was part of the Undiscovered Future World tour we took once.

I'm more concerned about the headsets that get used over and over in "Sounds Dangerous". Those things have foam padding on the earphones which can hold plenty of germs. Do they ever get cleaned?
