Are pressed pennies still happening?

Pressed pennys are a nice souvenir to collect over the years.
I remember in the 90s you also used to be able to get coins with bits filed away to create pendents in liberty square. I still have a Kennedy 50cent coin.

Random question- why do Americans say ‘penny’ when you don’t have pence as currency like we do in the UK?
"In 1857, Congress told the Mint to make the cent smaller and to mix the copper with nickel. People found the smaller cent easier to use. ... The British pound was not divided into 100 cents like our dollar, but its smallest part was called a penny, and that's why we call our cent a “penny” today."

Thanks that’s interesting. I’m not old enough to remember old pre decimal money here in the uk, but my parents have told me about it. It sounds absolutely crazy, but then growing up with metric I feel the same about imperial measurements all too confusing to remember how many of one unit make up another!

When I went to Disney back in May all the machines were the dollar or credit card ones. I always got the 8 for $5, but was only ever charged $1.50 for the 8. The only one that actually charged the full $5 was the avatar one in the shop in pandora.
