constantly getting ribbed by co-workers about my love for disney.i am a former army ranger with 2 combat tours so they dont pick to hard.just this week after returning to work from trip 100 approx. was discussing trip with another fan about character photos.when another friend stated you do realize you are a grown man.my response to him was yes but disney keeps me young.that shut him up for a little while.they do not hesitate however to seek my advice when they are planning a trip.

Doesn't matter to me what anyone may think about me going so often (every year since 1997). I have given many people tips on visiting, and one of my favorite pastimes is striking up Disney conversations with complete strangers but both of us talking fluent Disney.

And as others have stated, the "you're going again?" has been replaced with "when's the next trip?".

Love your Disney side - live your Disney side. And remind me - what does a Disney person look like? We have some military (current and retired - thanks for your service), youngsters, oldsters, almost oldsters, married, single, tall, short, all shapes and sizes. Our love of Disney makes it a small world.

C'mon everyone:
It's a world of laughter a world of tears
It's a world of hope and a world of fear
There's so much that we share that it's time we're aware
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small small world

(Y'all can hate me later when you are still singing this song for the millionth time :p)

I do get some grief over it, but I don't mind. I have found that thing in life (in addition to family of course) that always puts a smile on my face. And when folks do go to Disney, I am the first person they call!

(Taking a cue from one of my more unusual fan sides)
Everyone has a Disney side: :)

Short answer. Yes!

And if you knew my personality you would be, like most people, taken aback when it's revealed that I love Disney. Especially when asked to name every Disney princess, and do.

I walked into my first day at my new job and saw a co worker with a Mickey umbrella. I made a comment and said I loved it. Eventually through conversation it comes out that she is a DVC member! So now we talk Disney every day! It's so awesome!

But other co workers are just shocked by how much we love it and never get tired of it and can't stop talking about it!

People associate Disney with me (that and cats for some reason). They are more surprised when they find out I like to watch "bad" shows too like Breaking Bad or The Walking Dead.

Ummm...keep this quiet but...I like theme parks. No, really, I don't talk about it. My family, my friends, most people I know have either never been or are "one and done". I don't blame them since it is expensive and they aren't exactly in the 1%. I have two brothers who have the money but not the interest. They spend their money going fishing in Alaska or going to the Caribbean. So, for the sake of not getting into uncomfortable situations with friends and relatives who could never afford to go, I don't talk about it until I get back and they open a Christmas gift from me that came from Disney.

Having had seven holidays totalling 17 weeks at disney, our family definitely likes to show our disney side. We all have the tshirts to prove it. Dd has lots of disney fancy dress. We have disney decorations throughout the house, mickey kettle, lamp etc. subtle but disney.
Our friends always borrow our guide books and pick our brains when they book their disney hols. They have ceased to be surprised when we book another one for ourselves.

No, I don't think anyone is surprised by my love of Disney! :) although...mine is pretty confined to movies and trips to WDW. I don't have my house decorated like it or anything. :)
