Are MK shops closing early???

Last week a rumor was posted on the main site that the shops in Adventureland, Liberty Square and Frontierland would start closing at 6:30pm, no matter what time the park closed, starting this week. Did this happen, might it still happen, or has this plan hopefully been thrown out?

I haven't seen anything yet to think this actually took effect.

Although nothing at Disney would surprise me, I doubt the shops would close... After all, we all know Disney will jump at any opportunity to take your money!

Yeah, that'd be a real strange choice of things to close. They'd be closing them to save money on operating costs (employee's hourly wages) yet would be losing so much more in revenue generated by the shops.

I haven't heard anything about this, but it doesn't seem correct. Let's hope not, anyway.

Yep this was/is definately on the cards. I havnt heard if it actually happened though.

I was at the Magic Kingdom last night around 8 p.m. The christmas shop was closed and the shop right outside of the Haunted Mansion was closed. I did not notice any shops on main street closed.
