Are FPs linked to MDE profile or Magic Band?

We're going to WDW in January and have two separate ressies, each with its own set of magic bands which I customized today. The reservations are back to back so what I want to know is if we switch magic bands halfway through the trip will we loose our fast passes or are they just linked to our MDE profile?

Profile - you can use both bands interchangeably during the trip. All you ressies and FP+ are associated to your MDE profile as are both your bands.

Someone on another forum had this same issue. You do need to check out of one resort and actually use your new magic bands for the new resort. They told him he didn't need to check out and just go on over to the new resort and when he got there he had all sorts of trouble. They had to check him out of his old resort and activate his new magic bands for the new resort.

Well you always have to check out and back in no matter what, even previously with KTTW. Once new reservation is checked in you can use either bands for room, tickets, charging, etc.
