Are Disney Rides Shorter These Days

Well yes - the regular line waits are longer, because all the FP people get to sneak in ahead of them. What I meant earlier was simply that in the old days you had no choice but to wait a long time, hours even - on line. With the introduction of FP you just grab one and come back later, zipping right to the front (usually) - and enjoy. The regular line, sure - I would agree it's longer in general than before... But who actually gets on those lines? Unless FPs are all gone and you're not coming back to the park another day. Like I said, if a line's over 20m and I don't have a FP? NEXT! I'll come back later and try again.

I honestly have no idea why people get in a 100 min. line for Splash Mountain and then sigh when someone walks by them in the FP lane. Had that happen to me twice this past week. I just muttered "Why didn't you get a FastPass?"

We don't bother with Fastpass for Splash Mountain; the trick is to wait and ride in the evenings. Once the sun goes down, so do the wait times! Can't understand why people don't want to get wet when its cool out. ;)

I rode the Haunted Mansion for the first time in December and it went by faster than I expected and had seen on videos. When we got off of the ride, my mom said "That was faster than it used to be."
