Are CM's under any form of "gag order"?

Management was probably worried somebody would reveal the location of Walt's cryogenic chamber so they devised the NDA.

When did they start doing this?..because I did not have to do that when I was hired..that was in 1995 though.
The internet was in its earliest days of widespread consumer use.

Confidentiality agreements: Yes sir we sure do. Although, all that legal-lingo is somewhat confusing so most of us... basically don't give Disney a bad name and don't freely discuss the "backstage" portions of things.

As far as the popcorn -- no smell enhancement (not at DHS anyway), and the popcorn is popped fresh at least every 30 minutes at the popcorn carts. The only popcorn sold that isn't "fresh" is the caramel/sweet popcorn. That is all popped and bucketed backstage.

PS -- IMHO the best popcorn at DHS is from Hey Howdy Hey in Pixar Place......well... when your's truly pops it anyway! :p

Ok..that is what I was thinking..

Most any corporation of any decent size has some sort of NDA now.

If it's not a formal NDA, then it's included in the "Corporate Rules" "Code of Business Conduct" "Onboarding Package" or whatever your HR department decides to call it.

Exactly. It's just standard business practice to not discuss/disclose "company secrets" or proprietary information. When CMs log onto the Cast Hub (company intranet), information will be marked as to whether it can be freely shared with the public or not.

I've never read that before. But then I've read news on these boards that came straight from the Hub many times.

Then there are things like the monorail accident, where the CMs are under an order by the NTSB not to discuss certain aspects about the accident, procedures, systems, etc with the general public and the media.

Well, they're just not told about it and management goes on pretending like nothing happened. I think that's how they keep things like that confidential. CM's get more information from TV on situations like this.

Why would that be? Because they run the internal workings of Disney?

/wants to be in Disney Legal even more, now...:lookaroun

Ummm...it's a legal department and handles all of Disney's legal issues. The legal department would have nothing to do with the internal workings of Disney.
