Hi there, I am sorry if it's sounds like I am a little out of date, because I AM. After the unbelievable decline of Disney in general and especially WDW in the last 10 years I stopped coming here and also stopped keeping myself informed about WDW in general. So I missed a lot of changes in the last years. As a former AP-holder I was surprised when, out of curiosity, I wanted to check out at what insane prices APs must be know. As we would pay now the same amount of money for just FOUR days park hopper at WDW for two persons, as we payed for 2 PAP in 2011 (1382,- $), I expected a ridiculous high price charged now by Iger and his lot. But I couldn't find any link on the WDW website for purchasing new APs. Instead an information, that APs are only available on a LIMITED NUMBER? Is it true? Has Disney become so unbelievable greedy, that they even limited APs, because they want people to force to buy more of their insanely expensive tickets?

They’re in ready supply…

Considering how empty the parks look…and I was just there incase anyone wants to go on an app and dispute it…they should cut the price to get butts in seats.

They’re already doing a promo but it won’t cut it

DL Magic Keys have been limited. However after an initial suspension of sales after Covid, WDW Annual Passes have been available for 2-3 years now. I think you have to buy via the US website, though. https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/passes/ There currently is a promotion for a $100 gift card with purchase of an Incredi-pass (lesser amounts for other APs).

Be aware that APs still require a theme park reservation to enter prior to 2pm, or MK at anytime on a weekend. There are some "good-to-go" days where reservations aren't needed, but those don't tend to drop until relatively short notice.

So part of your issue is that Disney LOVES raising prices if you're in the EU. The workaround typically was to book through the UK site, but since Brexit, I have no idea if this is still doable. Looks like the starting rate for a 14 day pass through the UK site is closer to $702. Even the UK site inflates hotel rates, though, compared to US prices.

The APs are sold here for around $1500. That is the top tier one if you are not a Florida resident or a DVC member. I have the DVC member one and renewed for about $950. I don't know if they sell APs in the EU or if you would have to buy one once you are in the US.

I'm an accountant in the US and have worked with international companies, and honestly, I have absolutely no idea why prices are inflated so much to EU customers. I might expect slightly higher just due to currency fluxuations and the cost of doing business in another country, but I cannot think of a good reason why Disney inflates the prices so much for this customer group.
