Have you checked Swan and Dolphin for availability? I know they're not "Disney" owned and operated, but have just as good of access to and from the parks for naps.
There can definitely be length of stay requirements, depending on the resort, the season, and the days of the week.I was recently looking up rooms at Pop for an upcoming short stay and it said that non rooms were available. When the stay was lengthen accidentally to a full week. Pop became available. I went back to the shorter window to book and it wasn’t there. At first I thought it was a room that became available and then quickly scooped up but that wasn’t the case because I went back to the week long window and it was there again… something is going on….
That sounds about right. They are in a constant state of hiring down here. They seem to be hosting hiring events once every few weeks announced on the radio specifically for those positions. The problem I think they're running into is that post pandemic there were a lot of people that either had to up and leave the area, or got jobs in another field since Orlando is growing very fast and the service industry isn't the only game in town anymore. I hope they do bounce back and you can book a room once they get that staff.I guess the verbiage they should use is “all available rooms sold out for these dates“. Upon my own research I have discovered that less than half of resort rooms are even available due to staffing issues.
This is spot on. Plus lack of staff.Wouldn't surprise me if current management had the hotels withholding room inventory to artificially increase demand, thus justifying room rate increases as supply and demand.
