When I look at Storybook Castle, my immediate impression was that they took the same kitchen-sink approach as with Wawel Cathedral in Krakow:This made me go look at it for the first time. What a monstrosity. It's obvious which architects/imagineers knew more about proportion, balance, scale, nuance, subtlety, etc. The one on the right is the Disney castle version of a McMansion. Authenticity aside, it's a poor, sloppy design that looks haphazardly thrown together. And, to return to the original topic, the same can be said of the creperie and other design missteps at WDW.View attachment 367524

That tower on the right even looks like it was directly inspired by the chapels on Wawel.
There also seem to be bastardized elements from Fredericksborg Slot and Rosenborg Slot in Denmark:
