WDWGuy Review
Some Aquatica tidbits:
-the Dolphin Plunge looks very cool. I didn't go on any of the slides due to LINNNNNES...I think it was also a cast preview day as well...It was a busy day at the park...apparently the 3rd day it was open to events like this....But there is a huge glassed out area where you can look and see the swimmers shooting down the tube in the lagoon...very sweet.
- VERY LARGE beach area attached to the two identical wave pools. The pools are programmed differently each offering a different type of surf environment. But the beach looks very authentic....until it turns to concrete by the pools..ahaha...Wave Pools also havecountdown clocks giving you the information as to how long the surf will last...while not in that mode..it displays temp and time.
-Rapids is fun...you get in and the current just takes you around this path...you're floating..but you're doing about 6 mph in the current...fun stuff..wear a life jacket or no jacket if you're a good swimmer.
-park is beautiful...lush...very colorful.....and obviously very clean.
-kids area is plentiful...there is a regular type splash area with water fountains and such..small slides..and then there is the huge play "set" with a massive dump bucket...pretty standard....
-lazy river passes by a glass area where you again can see the clear tubes for dolphin plunge...and it also passes by a huge aquarium tank...lots o' fishies....
-showers have SHAMPOO, CONDITIONER, and BODY WASH....personal showers in both Rest Rooms...nice....
-all you can eat 20 buck buffet....(all day) burgers, dogs, veggie burgers....etc etc....
-About 7 slide areas I think? Some of them have multiple slides of course...no ride like Crush n Gusher though...so TL still has that up on this place...
Tha't it for now
...I think this park will very much be able to compete with area water parks...its world class in my book.
