Now that mymagic is expanding to all WDW resorts, all of those guests will be allowed to go online and make Fastpass choices while APs are left to use paper old school Fastpass or visit a kiosk the day of! Am I missing something here? Way to take care of your most loyal customers Disney.

You're not missing anything. Despite commitments to the contrary last spring, Passholders are being treated exactly like any other day guest. And with FP+ reservations eating a substantial portion of the FP availability, you'll be hard pressed to get one for any headliner unless you arrive a rope drop and hope they don't run out before you make it to the front of the line.

Also as I have said, I am sure some portion of your AP goes to funding FP+ which you can not ( at least at this time) participate in. But hey who said life was fair.....right?

I'm a passholder and I have had no problems using the FP+ I was able to link it up on My Disney Experience and was able to setup some FP's when I arrive in a few weeks.

You're able to do that because you probably have a resort reservation at a WDW resort hotel. Any Passholder (I'm an Orlando local) without a resort reservation is ineligible to use the advance reservation aspects of FP+.

Despite the kiosks being non-ideal, we had no problems getting our same-day FP+ selections during Christmas/New Year week. As such, I'm not too worked up/concerned about the advanced FP+ selections. We kinda like to choose which park to go to last-minute anyway and I'd be less psyched about having made park commitments so far ahead of time.

I agree, many times we decide last minute where we want to go and dont want to have to plan every darn thing out to the last detail. At the same time I do feel a little thrown out in the cold as a passholder for the money we pay. They would rather get rid of passholders anyway I think when you get right down to it.

Usually we do get to whatever park we're going to at rope drop, but what if I decide that maybe I don't want to drive over from Tampa at the butt crack of dawn and would rather get there in the afternoon so that my kid can see the fireworks and parade. I guess we won't be enjoying any of the "good" rides because fat chance getting a fastpass day of unless you are there at open. If I had access to Fastpass+ online however, I could put in for a few FPs a couple days out. Major BS if you ask me.

The problem is that if you are a local and never stay on property you have no magic band. Unless you can reserve attractions online and print it out and show them at the entrance? Otherwise, unless your staying on property this is not possible.

Its only not possible because Disney says so, APers could be sent a band just like anyone else. Disney chooses not to. The point is that some of their most loyal customers are getting screwed which I agree with. Suppose you have been a AP holder 20+ years? Spent thousands of dollars over that 20 years. I would be ed. There are winners and losers with MM+. Right now AP holders are on the losing side of the ledger. My question now would be....why would a local buy an AP?

After 20+ years as a Passholder I'm seriously rethinking the future. My challenge now is that they already got my $900+ dollars in July and have been steadily reducing my opportunities to experience the parks ever since.

The greatest frustration of it all is that Disney refuses to communicate what a Passholder should expect in the future. As a result of that vacuum of info from Disney we can only conclude that what I experienced at AK last week is our future and it is not pleasant.

OK, I want to hear more. What kind of selections/attractions were you able to get FP+ for the day of. I saw what was available and sold out long before that week hit. What the stand by times were for those mega capacity days. Are you saying you just walked into the Studio's and had zero issues scoring Toy Story and Rock'n FP+ and same with Soar'n and Test Track the week of Christmas/New Year?

You know it's not done testing yet, right? They have yet to reveal the plan for APs.

That 'we're testing' language is getting really old at this point.

All guests at all Disney resorts have been fully active for many months now and they flipped the switch in October to dramatically reduce the number of day of FP's available to adapt to the quantity that had been reserved by resort guests. That October transition meant that most headliner attractions are out of FP by about an hour after rope drop.

Back in the spring of 2013 (8+ months ago) when Passholders were converted to RFID admission media Disney communicated (it's still on the website) that "later this year" Passholders would have FP+ benefits. Unfortunately, that is the last communication from Disney to Passholders on the topic. Meanwhile, the experience I purchased when I got my AP in July has not been available to me for months now. And Disney is making absolutely no commitment that this is not going to be my experience for the future.

If I'm going to continue to be a second class citizen in Disney Parks, why would I want to spend another $1,000 to renew my AP in July. Why would I spend all that money along with the rest of the money I spend in the parks each year if They are going to make it so difficult if not impossible for me to experience any of the headliner attractions again. I experienced the future at Animal Kingdom last week and it was very unpleasant.

Honestly, we have a case and should communicate this to guest relations

Thank you I was about to say the same, I keep getting the AP monitor claiming magic bands are coming to AP's meaning you should be able to reserve fastpasses however long in advance. Remember we are not the target demographic Disney wants, which is beyond stupid. Look at how Disneyland does their business model with AP's, if WDW were to do half of what they do they would see a huge increase, not that the community isn't there. Everywhere I go in orlando all I see is the WDW passholder sticker at least 4 times in each parking lot.

I was just about to mention this. In my opinion, WDW APs have been getting the short end of the stick since before MM+ came along, due to the lame offerings. Only a ten percent discount? No discounts for food? No special events??? WHAT?!

Disneyland APs are treated better. WDW should hop on the train.
