APs and Memory Maker

I have an unactivated AP (my first time). When I activate it, do I automatically have access to Memory Maker? I'm just a little confused on how that all works.

As long as you have your annual pass linked with your mydisneyexperience account and magic bands it should be automatic. Pictures taken from the date your pass is activated until it expires are available for download for 365 days after they are captured. This does not extend the download window for other pictures taken before or after the pass is activated or expires (i.e. if you have pictures from a month before activating the pass, they would still expire at 45 days).

I too am a first time AP holder. Does this mean that all pictures taken during our trip are included in the price of our AP. Meaning FREE!
