I ordered mine already. I was going to upgrade my older Apple watch anyways and as I am an avid outdoors person this looks to be the right choice for me.
The swath of people whom this device appeals to is surprisingly narrow. I'd say narrower than those that would be interested in the original 18k gold Apple Watch Edition (whether they were able to afford it is a different story).
