AP Upgrade

We are going to WDW May 27 - June 3. We currently have 7day + PH. When we get there, we are planning to add the Waterpark and more option.

Our plan is to upgrade our tickets at the end of the trip to the base AP (not premium). Will this be allowed since we are upgrading tickets that include WP&M? Or do we have to upgrade to the premium pass?

If you add the WP&M option to your ticket you will have to upgrade to the Premium AP. The only way you would be able to upgrade to the base AP is not to add the WP&M option to your ticket.

How many water park visits were you planning on making during your trip? If it was only 1 visit, a single-day water park ticket is the cheaper option anyway. Plus, once you have your AP, you'd get $4 off the water park ticket.

Also if you only plan on going to the water parks, you could alternatively buy a standard AP, and then just by a water park hopper annual pass. That ends up being $20 or so less than the PAP, you just don't get the Disney Quest and golf benefits.

That's what we do each year. We buy the Water Park AP separately since we don't go to Disney Quest. Water Park AP is about $100. It's cheaper than rolling it all into one.

Back when PI was still open, that's what I would do with a PI Annual Pass. Rarely went to the water parks, but made multiple visits to the PI clubs each trip.

That's impossible! From what some people have been saying around here, PI was always empty!

thanks guys!

we were planning on doing a waterpark 1-2 days on our May trip, however we weren't planning to go at all over the course of the next year since we will be going back in the colder months. So I guess our best bet would be to buy a single day WP ticket.
