Tax? or perhaps the preferred view?

Its definitly not the preferred view, and I think he said that was the base rate without tax, but I could be mistaken. Its still a great deal.

Thanks again Pam.

Wow I didn't know you'd have them all the way through July...when do you think the September rates will be out? By June maybe?

I was going to do 6 nights at CB and 3 nights at Poly, but after seeing that Animal Kingdom Lodge is only $139 maybe I'll stay the first 6 nights there instead, assuming similar rates will be available in September.

How busy?

We are thinking about getting AP's for the first time to take advantage of resort discounts, but I'm seeing an awful lot of posts about how busy things are at CRO and I saw a park update that said the past two months have seen record-breaking levels of resort reservations.

So Pam (and other veterans of the phones today)...do you have a sense of how crazy this summer is going to be? We'd like to go in early- to mid-June, but I'm getting worried about this level of resort activity. Do you think after the May 5th kickoff things will get busier or will it calm down through the summer?

The agent I spoke to today commented that their phone lines were flooded with people changing their reservations to include the AP discount. Just my guess, but I would bet that most of the heavy call volume was not due to new reservations. At least I hope! I am going April 30th through May 7th. :D

I was on hold for about 45 minutes but finally got through - got my ressie for May 11-17th. Poor girl was tounge tied, though - they were VERY busy today. She was totally great though - perhaps the nicest CM I've talked too at CRO.

Good luck to everyone! I hope you get your dates!

Well, I was on hold for 30 minutes this evening. Once I got someone, his computer went down before I even got started. So, I got put on hold for another 5 minutes. Okay, compuuter fixed and I provide my dates and resort preference (Memorial Day weekend, Epcot resort). Well, no such luck -- no availability except for concierge at any of them . He kept going on about being shocked that they have sold out in a day or that there is a problem with the code (which I never gave).

The CM asked if I minded if he tried some stuff. He wondered if he could trick the system. Okay. Wasn't sure what he was doing. He kept quietly saying "ah ha" off and on as he did things. :veryconfu He finally chimed in that he tried to book a longer stay to see if there was availability and he could always shorten it afterwards. Sounds good, I said.

It worked! He had availability for the same arrival date but more nights. He took my other information and said he would need to call Guest Services to change the departure. I was on hold for another 5 minutes and it was all taken care of. :sohappy:

Now this guy thinks like I do! I've played that trick in the past too but it takes me several phone calls to accomplish. :animwink: It was really nice to get a CM that is willing to "think outside the box" for me. Most would have just left me with no availability. I just hope this wasn't a time when a supervisor was listening - he kind of struck me as a type that wouldn't care anyway.

Look out Flower & Garden Festival, here I come!! :sohappy:
