Hi all,
We are planning to stay a few days in March at WDW before and after our Carribean Cruise (its MUCH Cheaper to fly to Orlando than Ft. Lauderdale. Since we are going back in Nov-Dec we decided to get an annual pass. Now always in the past when we have booked an AP rate all we have had to do is present the AP Voucher and they have honored the rate. This time however I talked to a CM who informed me in no uncertain terms that I would have to present an ACTIVATED Annual Pass to get the AP rate they would NOT accept the voucher. She also informed me that I would have to activate the AP at Guest Relations at the theme park. OUCH She said they had been burned too many times by folks presenting the voucher and not activating it? huh??? Why would you buy an AP and not activate i?. The room discounts do not justify keeping the voucher and buying a separate admission ticket.
In any case we don't get in until 8:30pm so going to a theme park is out of the question, I've heard we can activate the pass at Guest Relations at Downtown Disney. Will that work? If so its still a PITA to have to drive to DTD, run in, activate the pass and THEN check in after flying all day from the West Coast. When did Disney change their policy?
thanks,
Kevin and Mona
