Anything grand from talks with Marty?

The quote I remember most vividly, (commenting on all the photos that showed people at construction sites, pointing to where things would eventually be)."There was a lot of pointing going on in those days."

I think most of the substance of the talk has been pretty well captured. He was an awesome speaker. Like people have said, he really spoke to his audiance, and didn't speak down to us at all. I'm glad I got to see it. Awesome.

The clip of David Brinkley at MK in 1971 was very good, does anyone know where I can find that online anywhere?

I wish they would take someone like Marty and just just sit him down in front of a camera and tell him "We have all the film in the world so just keep on talking." There were so many people I spoke to on monday who were thinking the same thing. There really should be an effort to save the memories of some of the last great Disney employess from that era.

Marty additionally showed us the two separate endings for the film, one directed towards Florida residents and lawmakers (to encourage them to create the autonomous Reedy Creek improvement district) and the other towards major corporations (to encourage them to support the project from a manufacturing and technological aspect).

Keep on Dreaming!

Its a shame they didn't give us both endings on the DVD. :(

Later on he talked about the Story Telling songs that were apart of Epcot, such as Listen to the Land, One little Spark, and universe of energy. Then he played a meldly of all the original music created for the pavillions and countries.

I loved the montage of scenes set to Epcot's original theme songs -- many of which, unfortunately, are no longer played/heard regularly around the park.

I had to leave in the middle of the medley, though... did Marty say anything else of interest afterward?

The session was an eloquent and sentimental look at the creation of WDW with a highlight on EPCOT.

Mr. Sklar showed us the creative process and behind the scenes detail involved in creating an ambitious new park. The old photos were so unique and incredible.

I will never forget the wonder the collective audience shared during the 11:30 session.
