Anyone wear a bug hat with netting during love bug season?

I have never seen a park photo with anyone wearing a netted bug hat. Would that be too weird to do? In addition to love bugs, I worry about the biting "yellow flies."

I've never seen anyone wear one, might look a little silly. The Yellow/Deer flies are a much bigger concern than love bugs. From what I've experienced though the Deer flies seem to bite the hands more than the face though anyway.

The love bugs are completely harmless, just something to shoo off and nothing more. Don't give them another thought.
They're also completely non-toxic and carry no known disease so even if one flies in your drink, you can just pluck it out without worry. Gross maybe, but not harmful. Truly, they don't do anything but splatter on your windshield and annoy.
