Well, if critic's opinions mean anything, Entertainment Weekly gave it an "A" :) I won't get to see it in theaters, I'm sure... but eventaully. Probably alone some night in my house... when the hubby's on call... 'cause I'm an idiot like that.

There was so much taken out that it didn`t even make sense, like the whole ending I was like OK this makes sense! :hammer:

Exactly. That's why I'm hoping for an unsensored NC-17 DVD or soemthing. I want to see it all. I still loved it as is though. If you're a Texas Chainsaw Massacre fan than you can't help but fall in love with HO1C I think Rob Zombie really knows what he's doing...he's a dedicated horror fan and knows how to ruffle the mainstreams feathers and strike a chord with the geeks and weirdos lol.

I really like Rob Zombie, but I hated House of 1,000 corpses, cause it didn`t make sense at all. IT was to choppy and I don`t mean in gore lol! I will rent House of 1,000 corpses comes out on dvd to see if they put some of the scenes back in that were deleted and to see if those deleted scenes
explain anything that transpired during the movie. cause the entire movie I just kept saying HUH?

I love it when directors go to the effort of making a building from one place seem like it's elsewhere, the story is supposedly based in Everett, WA (shame they didn't include the Boeing plant, imagine the number of zombies there would be there!) yet it seems that the mall is actually in / near Toronto if I'm not mistaken - It's an English shopping mall yet I noticed that one of the small cups for KFC actually says PFK - Poulet Frié par Kentucky which is only found in Quebec and Toronto. English mall + French KFC = Toronto :hammer:

Picking the film apart aside, I quite enjoyed this film - I did stay for the credits (mainly because the house lights were still down and I couldn't be bothered to get up) and I liked the ending.

I did jump quite a few times during the film but that was added to by the fact that the Cinema I went to see it in had Messina systems added to the seats that basically turn them into one huge bass speaker - every time there is an explosion or a loud noise like a shotgun reload close to the camera, you can hear it and Feel it!!

I think it was meant to make you say HUH?? to some extent. It's one of those movies where sequals can reveal things you didn't quite catch in the first.

I mean have you ever seen the Phantasm movies? Watch them in order and you'll see what I mean. :D

Well.. i hope yer ready for the sequal ;) Its already in production..

As for the original first one...they had to edit it to HELL to get it released in theaters...and rob zombie said he wont release an NC-17 Directors cut until after the 2nd movie is done. So we have a bit of time :)

Anyways.... .....I really did not like that movie, and I didn't even watch it all. That girl was so stupid though, whos gonna just hop right into the very first car they see? It's like, c'mon now. What I did like in the movie was the little things from the Haunted Mansion that he threw in there. Like, "I am your Ghost Host", and things like that. I had heard that Rob Zombie is a big Haunted Mansion fan. What's scary is that there might actually be people out there like the ones in the movie:hurl:

UPDATE:

I did not go to see Dawn of the Dead as originally planned. As it turned out the only time I had available for movies was Saturday night and they were calling for thunderstorms (which did appear around midnight).

BUT, I did go see another movie...Passion of the Christ. All I can say is WOW.

Glad you all enjoyed DotD, I will shoot for next weekend.

Well I`ll most likely go see the sequal, if only to hopefully figure out what was happening in the first movie. Yes Josh I saw the phantasm movies, but they were differant, each had a plot and you could figure out the storyline, House of 1,000 corpses you couldn`t and what in the heck was that ending with the bunny suits on??? and what was that half man half machine creature?:hammer:

The first Phantasm movie had a plot? Could have fooled me! :p

It was Halloween Darrel! Pay attention! :p ;) And the half man, half maching guy is Dr. Satan. The whole Dr. Satan aspect of the film is what threw me for a loop. I guess I was disapointed to see something somewaht supernatural fueling those psychos. It's things like that, that ruin newer horror flicks like Jeepers Creepers...that could have been good. Rob Zombie makes it work in HO1C though.

Well I`m glad you liked it Josh, I still didn`t like House of a thousand corpses, but I will rent it to see if they put the cut scenes back and I will see the sequel to see if they explain any of the first movie.
I do like Rob Zombie and was expecting soo much more.:(

HAHA...I thought Jeepers Creepers was a joke. #2 was alright, not good, just alright. Movies like Rosemary's Baby, The Exorcist, The Omen, Kazzam...all very scary in my book.

Sorry Darrel I wasn't trying to turn this into an argument or anything. Just trying to defend one of my favorite horror movies. Sometimes I get carried away. :o hehehe

IST...the first 15-20 minutes of Jeepers Creepers had the makings for a great movie. But then it all just went down hill. So I agree....big time JOKE. lol

Rosemary's baby...concept is creepy but way over rated, it's more of a psychological, suspense type deal. Those kinds always bore me lol.

The Exorcist IMO set at least part of the foundation for a good run of horror flicks. Plus it's funny as all hell. :D I love it.

Blah blah blah...

I haven't posted this much in ages. You guys got me started...thanks alot! :p I think I'll shut up now. :lookaroun

Lol

I mostly read posts nowadays. There are so many new people here that it's hard to get in on conversations lol...espescially in chit chat.

It feels great to be part of a good old fashioned thread drift though. It's been a while! Although technically I did stay somewhat on topic hehehe.

You still have AIM Darrel? I got a PM from you a while back and I mentioned something about AIM but you're never on.
