I want to see this movie this weekend, but everyone I know is chickening out.

Anyone out there want to see this Dawn of the Dead?

Oh yeah, I can't wait. I have the original and I love it. I'm hoping with all the advances in FX that this one will be even better.

They filmed the original at the Monroeville Mall which was about a mile from where I grew up. I used to go there all the time, so watching the original is fun because of that.

I'll probably try to see the new one sometime, but I don't think my wife or son will go with me, so I don't know when.

Yeah, I do! I love those kind of movies. I hardly ever watch them though, because they tend to "stick" with me. I wouldn't sleep for weeks afterwards!

I know what you mean I could not sleep for days after seeing the Ring. :lookaroun

A friend of mine was a grip on the original film and got to play a zombie who attacked the female lead. It was a hoot seeing somebody you know in a movie playing a zombie.

I can't believe this film needed a re-make. Not that it was great but it just shows, yet again, that Hollywood is really tapped out on writers with new ideas or executives willing to take risks on new ideas.

Well I decided I'm going to go on Sunday - during the day. I will take a jacket in case I need to hold onto something since none of my family or friends will come with me and all of you kind folks are too far away.

If I see it during the day then maybe I wont' be so jumpy that night. Wait and see, I'll bet my pilot light goes out Sunday NIGHT and I will have to go under the house in order to re-light it........

YEAH!!! I'm the first person on the boards to see it! Woo Hoo!

It's a great movie. I am so glad that these remakes that have been coming out have been doing to originals justice. Dawn of the Dead is an amazingly great movie. It grabs you within the first 10 minutes and never truly lets up. Just a side note though... STAY FOR THE CREDITS!!!

A lot of people in the theater missed the true ending because they just thought the movie was over.

Another note... I never thought a slow, acustic version of 'Down With the Sickness' could sound so friggin' awesome.

I got back from seeing it about an hour ago. My son and I caught the last matinee of the day. We really liked it, but I think the zombies moving fast makes some of the escapes a little less believable for me. I still liked the movie and will buy it when it comes out.

As Legacy said, "Stay through the credits". You'll see why.

I'll be going to see it but I'm setting my self up for disapointment. Nobody out there knows how to make a real horror flick anymore and the ones who do, don't have the credibility or money to get there stuff to the masses. Even these remakes are disapointing. There's nothing like seeing one of your favorite horror flicks re-made into a steaming pile of crap( Texas Chainsaw Masacre). I haven't seen a good new mainstream horror flick thats been released in the in the last 8 or 9 years with the exception of House of 1000 Corpses and that even left me disapointed. So much needed material was edited out. There have been several Hellraiser flicks also.

Ok I'm done whining. :D :p

Pfft. Now you tell me. I was headed to the door and turned around and went "what happened?"

Can you pm me what happened in the credits. Turning around all I saw was some boobies. :lookaroun

I was extremely disapointed with House of 1,000 corpses!
There was so much taken out that it didn`t even make sense, like the whole ending I was like OK this makes sense! :hammer:

I just saw Dawn of the Dead last night. I covered my eyes whenever something creepy was going to happen or something really bloody, but it really was a great movie. In a filded movie theatre made it even better. You should definitely see it! And yeah, watch the ending credits, because it's not over.
