Anyone lose a camera?

Or that people would not throw stuff into them. It is amazing when you walk by the bridges and people stand there and throw money, food and other things into them. I know some things can be dropped accidently, but I'm sure too many items are thrown into them on purpose.
True @RoyWalley I haven't witnessed anyone throwing something in but from what I saw all of the trash didn't get in there by accident.

Lost my prescription glasses in the gift store when you get out of POTC, chasing my then 6 year old DS. Good thing I also had contact lenses with me. Ironically, way back in '77 in DL, my cousin lost her Dr. Scholl's sandal when my other cousin stepped on the back of her foot as we were about to get onto the boat at POTC (we'd better stay away from that ride). She filed a report and a week letter they sent her a little girls sandal that looked nothing like the sandal she described.

It wouldn't surprise me if Disney trys to locate owner given they can get any data off it at all...those lost/found people are incredible...I will never stop singing their praises after the two times they saved the day for me or people I know.

Yeah, they really go above and beyond a lot of the time. My coworkers daughter lost a "Figment" stuffed toy as well as her Epcot "passport". It already had her info in it...a couple weeks later the little girl gets a box in the mail. The CMs had taken "Figment" around to all the countries and got his pictures taken and the passport stamped. "Figment" had quite a tour and went home in style. The little girl was delighted. Makes you just want to go... "awwww!!! "

Exactly...and it's things like this are one of the many reasons I am willing to pay for a Disney vacation...not only the place...but they still have "it" despite what many people over analyze and believe...

I knew someone who had a child lose a disposable camera...I found the number...we called down there...and a week later they shipped us the camera with all of the kid's "wonderful" pictures...but it was important to them, and Disney understood that!

My son lost a little light saber we bought him at HS. It was just a small thing that lit up and he wore it clipped to his belt loop. Somewhere between our resort and the airport on the way home he lost it. He was very upset so when we got home my DW made a few phone calls to see if we could purchase another and have it shipped to us. I don't know who she talked to but the woman on the other line said something like she would call back with the details on how to get one. No one called back and we thought that was the end of it. Until a box showed up with a light sabe in it. Disney sent it to us free of charge. We didn't know who to thank becasue there was no information on the box.
