There is a DRC in both Tampa and Orlando. When I lived in Tampa, I lived about 5 mins away from the DRC in Tampa. It's off of Flectcher Avenue. I was wondering if anyone knew where the DRC was in Orlando?

DRC is in Orlando is located in an office park off of Sand Lake Road, East of International Drive. You would not know it from the outside of the building of course, since it is pretty plain. No descriptions on building. WDW owns several wharehouses and in the area, away from property.

I've been in the Orlando DRC. It's just off International Drive, north of Kirkman Road. I believe on Municipal Drive. It's in a nondescript 1 story brown office building about a block on the right. It's funny the few times I've been in the area, that you can sometimes see Destination Universal employees from nearby hotels eating lunch with DRC Orlando cast in Sonics.

I had the priviledge of doing Dining Reservations and had to be trained at the DRC or as wel called it dining reservatino center but there is also many phone banks for regular reservations as well anything from Wedding to Dining to Cruise to Accomodations. I also found out that there is also a few places all across the US that actually help Disney when they are in need of help. I made a reservation and was sent to some place in Kansas.
We were trained at that same facilty then were sent to EPCOT to help out~

Also there are some awesome inside information sites that are on the intranet for their use... anything one could possibly want to know can be found!

the Disney Store call center in Kansas helps out the WDW and DLR CRO's whenever they're having extremely high call volumes.

When I made one reservation/dining change or another for my trip this June, I spoke to someone who was in Utah. She volunteered that information when she saw that I live in Las Vegas.

Tampa, Orlando, Salt Lake, Kansas City and then "Continental" (somewhere in Texas) which is actually part of continental airlines.

Isn't there a reservation center of some sort all the way out on Buena Vista Drive by all of the warehouses, near Smart City? I thought it was one of the DRC's. A fellow CM told me she was transfering there ...

Hmm, oh well

irv out.

Only 7 days 'till I'm back in the WORLD!

I think the Continental one is actually in Houston, where they have their big Hub

The DRC locations include:

Orlando - main site with mostly WDW Disney cast

Tampa - satilite site with mostly WDW Disney cast, but also has Contental contracted employees

Kanas City, Missouri - Disney Direct Cast, used for overflow calls

Huston, Texas - All continental contracted employees

Salt Lake City - some Disney Direct cast, some continental contracted employees, used for overflow calls

All centers also use the services of Temp Staffing Agencies for peak periods but only for Dine calls (minimum training needed)

Not "all" centers, as Tampa has a segment (group of agents trained a certain way) that only exists in Tampa called In-Market Dine. The group is designed to handle last-minute dine calls (7 days out or less, also on-property), essentially needing to know alternate locations and ways to get around moreso than a temp would.

In-Market Dine has only existed for a year, in which it has been creditted with creating the "popularity" of many previously unheard-of WDW locations, the My Disney Girl tea for example.

Other "segments" in DRC are based on the calls they take and skills they have. In room servations, you have Worldphiles (AP holder and frequent guest calls), Intenders (brand spanky new guests), and Repeaters (repeat but not "frequent"), and then the non-rooms related bookings covered by Itenerary Planners (golf, tours, cirque, recreation, and group dine) of which In-Market Dine is a subgroup of.
