Since YOAMD will be over and Pir&Prins is only for a short time this spring, I was wondering if anyone had any inkling what the promotion may be for this winter.

ANd as usual, the Magic Kingdom will have MVMCP - Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (a ticketed event in addition to your regular park tickets)

Year of a Million Dreams is actually more than a year. One-and-a-Quarter Years of a Million Dreams Per Year just didn't look good on promotional material, but you can bet Jay Rasulo considered it strongly.

disney runs on the 15th month calendar

so in that case --- epcot would only be turning 20 yrs old in Disney years
so Epcot's 25th would be in January 2014

Then we had the 18-month DL's 50th celebration...if Jay Rasulo had his way, the global celebration of DL's 100th anniversary would start this summer.

Personally, I don't thing there SHOULD be a promotion for 2008. How about we celebrate the lack of a celebration? It used to be that these celebrations were really something special. Now they are just an excuse to make new banners and napkins. Celebrations of late come across as extremely contrived with trite themes. You know they are slipping when they feel the need to advertise The Seas with Nemo and Friends on Disney Channel as some huge new attraction--it's fun and inventive, I admit, but I'm not going to plan a vacation to see it.

Hey, anything that gets people in the parks, dude.

I like the celebrations. It makes every trip different. I think it's very, very Disney to make each and every guest feel like they booked at "the perfect time" because something special is going on. And to me, that's a good thing.
