No No No..... you should only get ONE.... it will bond to the human and be a lot of fun. Unless you are not the one in the family that the bird bonds to.... then you are finger food ...ouch! My daughter has one and the bird is great to her.... to me....hate at first sight... on both parts!!!!! And definately no mirrors.... they can get the edipus complex..... and fall in love with themselves...

From "The Simple Guide to Bird Care and Training" by Julie Rach:

'Lovebirds are playful, acrobatic, energetic 5" tall parrots that come in a variety of colors, including blue, green and yellow.

While you might expect lovebirds to be loving little pets, these active little parrots really can be aggressive towards others birds and people. They require daily handling to retain their sweet pet qualities.

Keeping a single pet lovebird will increase your chances of having a handleable pet you can enjoy because the bird will bond with you rather than with another lovebird.

If you choose to keep a single lovebird, make sure to pay it plenty of attention because the bird will depend on you to meet its social needs.'

Hope this helps!
