Anyone Heard of the Howard Johnson Maingate Resort West?

Are you looking for a decent resort close to property? I usually stay at the Comfort Inn of of Palm Parkway....And they have really good rates

Hi
I think this resort has changed its name to Championsgate Resort?
We stayed for a week last september and it was fine, the rooms were clean and there was a maid service everyday which changed towels bedding ect. We has a problem with the room safe when we arrived but that was sorted out very quickly after a phone call. It was about a 10 minute drive for us into WDW, however at that time of year there was no traffic.

I'm not sure if this is the same Ho Jo's we stayed at in 2002 but if so it was AWFUL! We cam in on December 30 and were scheduled to check into CBR on an AP rate on January 1st. I called central reservations the next morning and was able to get into CBR that night but had to pay as much for that night (New Years Eve) as I did for the next 4 nights of our trip together, but it was worth it.
