It's so hard for me to imagine anyone not liking, much less actually HATING, Disney! I've been going to WDW since I was in utero (one of my mothers favorite stories ever! ) and have probably been over 20 times. This year (leaving tonight actually, yay!!) will be the first trip I'm taking there with my DF. He was concerned about the 'anticipointment' mentioned earlier. He's not expecting too much though, so I know he'll be very pleasantly surprised!

I never hated it - not even close - but I do remember as a kid it being so much longer and harder of a day. Like, waiting in line for two hours for Imagination and things like that. It was like you spent your entire day in line. Now, I look back at that and think how much it's changed. Now I never wait more then 20 minutes in a queue and I make liberal use of FastPass and it seems like I have so much more time and get so much done. So I do like it more now then as a kid in terms of how long, slow and boring the waiting in line part used to be.

My thoughts exactly, I've loved everything Disney since I can remember but my first visit as a Kid in 75' was great but the summer heat, long lines and having to decide what a,b,c,d,e-tickets to use on what you loved most was such a long day.(For those of you old enough to remember the tickets!) That first trip with Mom,Dad and my brother still got me hooked. Its hard for me to imagine now going to WDW for 5 days and having just MK and our resort (Poly) to entertain us like in 75'.

But it was a dream vacation, that thankfully I'm now blessed (DVC member) to be able to "re-live" each year. I've also had the pleasure to treat my parents to 2 trips back to the place we fell in love with. Even though my parents are in their early 70's the surprise trip this past Christmas to WDW was like watching two 7 year olds experience it for the first time!:D

I didn't hate it my first time .. actually, I loved it. However, I didn't start to appreciate it until my late 20s. Now I am really interested in the engineering and management of the parks and how they make it all work!
