Anyone ever stay at Bonnet Creek.

Now I know it isn't owned by Disney, but it is right next door to CBR. I have a chance to get an incredible deal there. Has anyone stayed there before? Impressions? Not going to go until October so I have plenty of time to change my mind.

Any feedback would be great... Thanks.

I stayed at Bonnet Creek in December. We had a one BR villa. The units are huge and very clean. They also have huge balconies and we could watch the Epcot fireworks every night. I know the grounds and pools, lazy rivers are nice too although when we were there it was freezing weather so we never got to use those. They have a couple cafes/restaurants onsite but we never tried these either. We did play a couple games of pool and they had ping pong and games room too.

But, here's what I didn't like. It's not Disney. There is no way to check in early. You have to come back at check in time which was 3:00 or 4:00 (I don't remember). When we came back to check in there was one single file line about 50 people long. It stunk. We waited about an hour to check in. Then when we finished our check in, they told us we had to go wait in another line at another desk to get the parking pass for our car (what's up with that). Then they tried to entice us into scheduling a presentation/update. I declined over and over. But that didn't stop them from calling our room about 2-3 times a day wondering why we didn't sign up. Again I kept declining. When finally on the third day I was insisting they stop calling us, then we got the cold shoulder from the staff for the rest of our stay.

So to sum it up, accomodations are great but service is not.

WOW...what a way to really put a negative on a vacation. The first time you told them NO Thanks should have been enougth and to give you a cold shoulder after that is UNCALLED FOR. I wonder if they get lots of Disney guest there who never take part of what they have to offer...just using for a place to sleep in larger room for less then what could be had on property??? I think i would stick with Disney property.

Having stayed in several timeshares over the years (RCI members) I have to say your experience is not exclusive to Bonnet Creek. It's common to have long check-ins at certain times of the day, and also to have a second parking permit line that really acts as a timeshare sales sign-up line (Vacation Village at Parkway and Hilton Grand Vacation Club come to mind).

We have visited Bonnet Creek. The rooms are beautiful and amenities really great. When we stay at timeshares we always unplug our room phone. Instant peace and a good stay. We figure anyone who needs to contact us has our cell information. :)

I assume you don't mean the Bonnet Creek Hilton or Waldorf-Astoria? Both are FABULOUS hotels in the Bonnet Creek area. If you can stay at one of them--jump at the chance! Wonderful staff, amenities and service. You won't be disappointed.

I absolutely agree with this. I stayed at the Hilton in January for marathon weekend and it was great - new hotel (within a year or two old), nice pool, cool bars, pretty quiet, golf course, etc. The only thing that I would watch for is that they'll try to nickel and dime you when you get there - parking is $10-$13 a day for self parking, and I think there's a charge for internet. Other than those things the Hilton is very nice.
