anyone ever go to wdw the first week of october? if so what is the weather and ride lines like?

thanks mike

I have been twice for the end of the first week and I must say...besided Dec for the Christmas celebration....it is my favorite time of the year to go.

The weather is unbelievable (high 70's to mid 80's) with VERY LITTLE rain.

I would say that it's the "moderate" time of the year for crowds so the longest wait time might be 20 minutes...everything else is walk-on.

(The only drawback is the park hours which are usually shortened at this time...)

I hope you have a blast...I will be trying to get down there for the second week (Columbus Day weekend).

Went there 2nd week of October for a week. Weather was great... low to mid 80's. It's easily warm enough for the water parks or the pools if you're staying at the resort. It did rain some a few days... it's Florida it always rains in Florida.

Crowds were great. Everything was walk on except for Test Track which had JUST openned. Fast Passes were realitivly new as well so not everyone knew how they were supposed to work. But most of the time, there was little wait anyway so fast passes were not needed.

FREAK is right. Great time of year. We've done it the last three times, and planning a trip back this year, though we'll probebly move it a bit later in the month cos' we want to experiance the Food and Wine festival.

Great weather, low crowds, only drawback is the shortened hours at MK and MGM.

Yes, the hours are shortened, but the lines are so small that you have plenty of time to get everything in that you want to see. If you plan to see SpectroMagic or Fantasy in the Sky, be sure to plan for a Saturday night visit to the MK--at least they were doing Saturday night shows last year. Fantasmic and Illuminations were running every night. It's a great time of the year to go.

I bet their will be one on the 10th.

Don't hold me to it, but that would be what they did last year.

Avoid MK on saturday during the day. It will be crowded, but do go in the evening for the parade and fireworks. Try and find out if they're going to do 2 parades. That way you can see the second parade and not be crowded in.
