Not for a ride, but we did get 2 no expire tickets, it took over 2 hours to leave the MK one night.
We even left BEFORE fireworks.
Our son was 10 months at the time.
It was a gong show, they only had busses and 1 boat to get everybody out.

I apologize for the long post. I have 2 yucky stories and 1 nice one -

We received free fast passes two years ago. We were staying in a studio on the 3rd floor of BLT (south wing). One night, we noticed our carpet was wet in one spot. We assumed our wet, hanging raincoats caused it. The next day the spot was bigger - and bigger - and kept getting bigger. My daughter also saw that while sitting in bed, ants were walking all over the walls. They were also in the kitchen. The manager came to our room with housekeeping. He said we should expect ants since we're on the 3rd floor and close to the ground. :eek:He also said that the air conditioner in the room next door broke and that's why our carpet was soaked. He didn't have any other room to put us in. He gave us 3 free fast passes for the next day (so 12 total for the 4 of us) and said things would be fixed while we were out enjoying the parks. He also said he would check on us to make sure things have improved. The next evening, we returned to a room without ants, clean sheets, etc. and a very loud, vacuum-sized, portable dryer sitting right as you walked in the room. We called down to the desk immediately. They sent some poor kid up to retrieve the dryer. We never heard from anyone again.

Of course, imagine our surprise when this year we walked in our room to the same dryer! (1 bedroom - 5th floor of the north wing of BLT this time) We went to the front desk. They had no idea what was going on. We went back to the room and called housekeeping. Same thing. No idea. We tried calling the front desk again. Nobody picked up. We got the answering machine. After we finally got through, they sent maintenance up to retrieve the dryer. The men said they came to fix the air conditioner since we complained about it - but we never called. They had no idea who called. When we got the manager on the phone, they said that they were going to find out what happened, but they were having problems with their messaging system and couldn't leave a message. They asked for my cell phone so they could call us tomorrow while we were in the parks and explain what happened after they figured it out. They did call with an explanation. Turns out it was our neighbor's air conditioner again. What are the odds? They put $100 back on my credit card to apologize.

I did receive 25 free fast passes (for 5 people) once at DAK, but it was for a happy reason and not floods or ants. A CM on the Wild Africa Trek hooked me up with someone from their conservation team. That person mentioned Disney's efforts with GRACE Gorillas in the French Congo. I created a unit for my high school French classes to learn about the countries, the animals and GRACE. The unit morphed into an Earth Day presentation for the middle and elementary schools - with one of my kids in a gorilla costume. It was fun and interactive and highlighted the importance of recycling small electronics.

We left decorated boxes in each main office after our presentations. The children brought in old cell phones and small electronics that we shipped to ECO-Cell. I kept in touch with the CM and sent him videos and pictures of what we did to support Disney and GRACE. He asked me to stop by during our next trip. We took pictures with his manager. They presented me with a goodie bag (a large Disney Conservation tote with lots of items) and the fast passes.
We're still doing the presentation and recycling drive through the chaos of the past year. We've also added new activities to help Give Kids the World Village. Over time, my kids may not remember French, but hopefully they will remember to be aware and to help others.

That gorilla shows up in class now and then, too...

Yes plenty of time's a few years ago for example I had 3 Multiple experiences on top of my regular FP's added to my trip daily to the app due to an absolute total debacle when I checked in & then spilled over to day 2. plenty of other examples as well but that definitely was the best experience regarding this topic... that is the ongoing joke with one of my buddy's how they just bribe people with Free FP's. What is the plan going forward lol

Twice.

Once for being stuck on on Primeval Whirl. We made some great new friends while stuck. Through random chance they were then right behind us on Expedition Everest 1 hour later.

Second one was for merely being nice to a poor cast member getting berated by a person at guest services in Animal Kingdom. Had to wait for about 30 minutes while they dealt with the Karen in the wild and a shift change where they didn’t have cash (we needed a small refund).

Simply chatted with he poor cast member and told him him did nothing wrong. He was new and very appreciative. I didn’t ask but he gave us one that could be used in anything but Seven Dwarves Mine Train. It was during our 2017 12 day trip; saved it to the last day and used it to skip almost two hour wait on Rockin Roller coaster.

We got them when FEA went down one evening before we could use our FPs. Because it was right before ROE, they were good in any park the next day.

The next day we used them at Dinosaur, where the ride vehicle stopped and we waited…and waited … and finally got going again. So we duly got another set of FPs to be used anywhere that day.

I think we used them for a second soaking (in my case) on Kali.

Yes we have received FP for making up for a ruined ride experience. And years ago a couple of times we had other guests hand us their paper FP they had gotten but couldnt use because of dinner reservations they had to make and another time another set of guests were leaving the park early. The FP's were for TT, EE and HM all attractions that we were happy to use them for.

Yes, back in the day when there was FP system😂
Sometimes the FP kiosks would also kick out a bonus FP for say Kali River Rapids, we’d always pass these along to other guests because no one in my family liked walking around in wet clothes.

I got some while staying at Jambo because the refrigerator in our room was broken. The 3rd prong had broken off in the outlet and the apparent solution was to just leave it unplugged until someone complained about it. When someone from maintenance arrived, we were told he couldn't fix it because he would need to shut off power to our room in order to remove the prong that was still in the outlet. He also told us not to use the coffee maker because it was plugged into the 2nd socket on that outlet. Then he just left. The manager who came up after we called to complain about that was horrified that housekeeping had left the fridge like that instead of reporting it and that the maintenance CM pretty much blew us off. She gave us 3 FPs each and guaranteed that it would be fixed when before we got back to our room the next day (it was already pretty late when we arrived). The next day, the issue was fixed and there were chocolate covered strawberries left for us, too.

The only other time we got some FPs was while staying at Coronado (pre-tower era). We were at the main building waiting for the internal resort shuttle to get back to our room because there was a really bad lightning storm and our room was at the back end of the resort. The internal shuttle was really just the Disney Springs bus and we had been waiting over 45 minutes at the bus stop without a single Disney Springs bus in sight. We asked a CM if one was on its way and we're told "about every 20 minutes," to which we replied, "it's been over 45 already." 10 minutes later, still no bus. We asked if there was any other mode of transportation and were told we could walk because it was too dangerous for a CM to take us in one of the luggage carts. Needless to say, my wife immediately questioned the safety of us walking across the resort in a storm that was too dangerous to ride a cart in. The manager got a CM to take us and another group in a van and gave us some FPs for the next day. All told, we waited over an hour and no Disney Springs bus ever came.

I've gotten free FPs several times but only once was ride related, unless you count buss breaking down on way to AK. I've gotten them once for a pixie dust moment. The other times were due to Disney systems screwing up passes or tickets.

yes, few years back, pre Chapek, stuck on soarin high in the air with 5 yr old nephew. 2hours of waiting. He wet his pants. He was so embarrassed, humiliated. When we got off the ride, finally, they had donuts of several kinds, water and OJ. Still he was crying a little and hiding behind me. They gave us 5 fastpasses each for any ride for the last three days of our trip. Don't know about anyone else stuck on the ride with us. We were taken behind the scenes and goofy was there and played with nephew. pre chapek was great.
