Yes. I first applied for my position in February and didn't hear anything at all until June. Then they suddenly contacted me and completed the interview and onboarding quite quickly in order to support a start date in early July. And that was fairly normal for many people in my cohort. I was never even waitlisted for an interview. I just didn't hear anything at all. But it all worked out! Truth is: they hire when they need more people. Might be next week, might be six months from now. So even if you are qualified, you will need to wait until they have decided that they need more folks in your area.
