Hey everyone!

I just came back from "the World" and I finally went to go see the Mouse Surplus warehouse. Anyone else here ever been?

I was amazed at just how much stuff they have in there, even one of the red monorails! And for all you Mr. Toad's Wild Ride fans, I saw most of the old cars there too! They even had one of the old sea cabs and one of the old astro orbiters too. It was so nostalgic walking around and seeing old Disney busses, CM costumes, wigs, and so many other things!

Even better, there were a lot of affordable things there. All sorts of t-shirts and other park merchandise at 75% off! We got a pirate tank top, a tinkerbell wallet, 2 light-up spinning keychains, 1 pirate keychain, 1 squeezable skull (from Pirate's), 1 Mickey jersey, 1 Pluto jersey, 1 Pal Mickey, 1 Disney Parade music CD, 1 Tink jersey, 1 Mickey Fantasia hat, 1 evil queens of Disney candle, 6 2006 Disney mini towels, and a few other things I can't quite recall right now all for less than $90 with tax!

Also got to take some great pictures of the old attraction vehicles and of the wax Walt figure they have. I highly recommend a visit to all you hard core Disney fans. Lots of nostalgia and great deals to be found!

Just so you know, their sign said they were open Mon-Sat and closed on Sunday so it should be open on Saturdays. As for directions, this is what we did: Take 1-4 east until the 528 bee-line (now the beechline) expressway. Take that heading east and get off at exit 8 which is orange ave. Make a right at the bottom of the ramp. That road will dead end onto orange ave. Make a left. Continue down to Tradeport and make a left. Mouse Surplus will be about 1/4 of a mile down on the right hand side at 1500 Tradeport. Well worth the trip!

How long does it take to get there by car from WDW? One of the people on my trip has expressed a big interest, but we don't want to cut into our time too much.

It is about 20 minutes on the Green Way (417) which avoids I-4...

You can get to 417 two ways... from the Oceola Parkway or World Center Dr exits from WDW

We travleled there, all the way from Alabama, just to pick up our Polynesian resort furniture that we bought on ebay! The joint is super cool and the people there are way nice.

We stopped by in February on our way to the airport. It was really great, but we were a little pressed for time, so we didn't get to see everything. We'll definitely go back on our next visit!

Is it in Orlando?
Yupper.

Mouse Surplus is a great place to find the most off-the-wall gifts for people. I almost bought one of the metal Diamond Horseshoe signs, but I backed out 'cause it was about 500 bucks.

Coolest thing I've ever bought there? Real, honest-to-gosh animation desk from Feature Animation. It's freakin' huge!

That's so funny you mention it...I always check their ebay site (i was this close to bidding on the all star resort furniture), and I was asking my parents if we could go when we go down in August. They haven't given me a definate answer yet, but all the stuff you said you bought def. cements the deal for me.....MouseSurplus or bust!

HaHa! That's funny that you would post on this thread, I actually thought of you when I was at Mouse Surplus! We were looking through the aisles when we were there and we came across bags of Mr. Potato head parts. I told my hubby, "Hey, there is this girl on my forum that has like 5,000 Mr. Potato Head parts, I bet she would love these!"

Now you know you have to go!

I live in the Orlando area. I've never been in. But my wife and I have driven by their "storage area" by the store, and it was just cool to see a monorial car sitting in a yard.
