I was just wondering if anyone else had a bad experience switching resorts while on the dining plan. We spent 9 nights in WDW with 5 nights at the Poly and 4 nights at POR. I called Disney Dining while we were vacationing to find out if our points would be transferred to POR since we were saving some table service meals for later in our trip when we were eating at the California Grill and Citricos which both required 2 points per person. I was told yes, there would be no problem using them when we checked into POR. We later find out, the points were not transferrable and whatever dining points we didn't use at midnight when checked out of the Poly were wasted. I spoke to 3 different managers about it and I was told there was nothing they could do to reimburse or make it up to us. I was told they would look into who booked my meals and management would be notified of the error.
Has this happened to anyone else? I understand if this is the policy, but I am disappointed that we were given the wrong information. I feel that even though we changed resorts, we did not leave property and should have been granted 9 nights of the dining plan instead of the 8. We ended up having to cancel our AR for Citricos on our last night because we didnt have enough points.
