I had a few questions on the Disney cruise line. My wife and I want to renew our vows and we were thinking of a Disney cruise line.

My wife put in for 8 guests with some other things and it came out to 3800 my question is that for 1 day or is that for a few days? If one day how long is the cruise for?

Hi Mike! I'm helping a client with a wedding on Castaway Cay right now!

I don't quite understand your question. For my current client, a wedding at cc for 8 guests is $3500. Their cruise cost is separate.

You can get married on any length cruise - 3, 4, 5, 7 night, etc. The cost for the cruise would vary widely.

Let me know if you'd like any help, or just have more questions!:)

^^ Haha, I wonder who what could be? :lookaroun :D

Mike10, if you decide to go with the DCL- I highly recommend booking with Disneyfalcon- she's awesome!

I'm planning a DCL wedding on CC now. I just received my planning packet and IMHO you get quite a bit for the money. The ship, though not built yet, looks amazing and the island is beautiful. Disney makes it really easy and stress-free to plan. They give you pictures of all available options and enhancements, and since they do get everything for you (cake, flowers, etc) you don't have to search for vendors. I've been doing some reading about DCL weddings and I hear it is possible to get additional floral at a much cheaper price through The Perfect Gift. They're authorized to deliver to the DCL and only charge a $12 delivery fee per stateroom. If you do this- have everything delivered to one stateroom to avoid extra charges. Past DCL brides say Disney will keep additional floral in their cooler to keep it fresh, but I haven't confirmed that with my wedding consultant as she is on vacation for the next week and a half. As a bonus, you don't necessarily have to pay extra for characters to attend because your photographer will take you to character meets for pictures. If you want a Disney wedding, the DCL definitely gives you the most bang for your buck.

I don't mean to dump on DCL (and I apologize if I'm hurting business), but I feel that DCL is WAY overpriced for what you get. I'm planning my honeymoon for July 2011 (one week at AKV followed by 7-night Carnival cruise), and DCL would cost me double (or more) of what I'm paying for Carnival for what's essentially the same itinerary.

I agree that the cruise itself is priced higher than others, but the wedding package is quite reasonable (by Disneys standards that is). They include pretty much everything in the price of the wedding, and it saves you the hassle of trying to find vendors yourself. Disney also told me that they assist in all of the paperwork required for both marriage licenses- 1 for US and 1 for Bahamas, which IMHO is worth the extra price. I'd rather pay a little more and know everything will be perfect than save some money and stress myself with planning and have the possibility things won't turn out right. Again, thats just my opinion, and I agree that you can find a cheaper cruise.
