I had booked two weeks for me and my girlfriend in october. She just dumped me because she couldn't handle me working 7 days a week (which I was doing to afford to take her to WDW). I dont want to cancel. What is WDW like on your own?

Sorry to hear it. WDW alone...hmmmmm...matters how long you've been going with others.

While it's fun being with family, WDW IS family. The positive thing I like is "1-800-go-where-you-want-and-no-argument".

I'll go with ya! :D Naw, you wouldn't really like it - (country bears and all ;) )

I certainly don't want to use this to run a dateing service, but.

There are many young ladies who go to Walt Disney World together and are unattached.

You'll find someone to do the parks with on a daily basis.

Enjoy the British Invasion (no not that one, it's over) but the one at Epcot UK. Say hi to Pam at the Rose and Crown.

Talk about being ungrateful.................
Still on the positve side, Octobers a little while off, you still have time to meet someone special.
Don't take her back - she may just use you for a free holiday.

Good luck with your adventure at WDW

Thanks everybody. I'm going to keep her ticket for a while in case I meet somebody else to take. If not, I suppose I'll go on my own anyway, I'm not giving up two weeks at WDW for anybody!

Steve,

Do you have any guy friends who can afford to go? Seriously, I'm all for romance, but sometimes you just need to be with a bud, y'know? At least that way the pressure's off, you're guaranteed a good time, and who knows-- maybe you'll both get lucky on Pleasure Island!

;)

I agree with Hook, October is still far away. On the other hand, I don't think it's a good situation for a "new" relationship, it might creat too much pressure. So I think you should stick to the plan of going by yourself and meet people there, and meanwhile, try to convince a good friend to go with you.

I didn't mean meeting someone on the internet.
I believe there is a lucrative trade in 'buying partners' from poorer countries.

(And no, i wasn't condoning this.)

I feel the same way most people on this board do, wait awhile and see what happens, you still have 4 months and a lot can happen in that time period. You never know what will or can happen. If all else fails, I'll go with you. :animwink:

Great idea Tenchu, some internet companies have dodgy returns policies if they dont work properly though. I've heard you can get some "shop soiled" or "almost complete" models on auction sites!

I'm intrigued by Becky's idea that I can find someone to 'do' the parks with on a daily basis. Can we expand on this idea please? Is there an area where all the single people stand in the morning and you can go to pair up? If not, can I suggest that we start such a system? Perhaps if all the desperate people wore big coloured badges life would be easier.
