anybody been to silver springs?

I haven't been to Silver Springs since 1971... has anyone been there in the last few years? how do you like it? is it worth the money to go again.. Please let me know. thanks bjlc

My wife and I went in 2004. She really enjoyed it. I thought it was just "alright". But I guess it depends what you are interested in. For me, I look forward to all the theme parks down there when we go to Florida, so Silver Springs wasn't that big of a thrill for me. And, from Kissimmee/Orlando, it was hard finding a good way to get there. I didn't want to pay a toll to go on the turnpike, especially since it was totally out of the way to go that route, so I found a way to get there using the local highways and even that way took a couple hours.

If you enjoy nature, it's worth a trip. I also suggest Wakulla Springs. :wave:
