Any "Wheel of Time" fans?

Basically, this is an extremely complex and very long fantasy series that I fear I will be reading until I'm 80. if you liked Lord of the Rings, but thought it really should have lasted longer, with a lot more details, then this is for you.

It has a huge following on the Net (what doesn't, though, huh?), but I haven't met too many "real life" people who know of it. Has anybody else here been sucked into this thing?

It was suggested to me by a friend, and I read the first book a couple years ago and then started another and never picked up the series again. But I remember it being quite good.

Yep...Jordan the longbeard. He's done other stuff, under other pennames, like Conan and some other fiction series.

I find the series extremely addictive and they just get better as it goes; I'm currently working on the 4th book.
