Any Signature Dining Worth It?

Without the tip and appetizer being included, the math no longer adds up at most places, so it is not worth 2 credits IMO. We do not always order the most expensive dinner, prefer to share more apps but only one dessert, so it just does not work for us. Now if you're talking "free" dining credits, that is another story and any of the places mentioned would be worth a go.

Like many others, I am with the DDE card rather than the DDP for signature meals. More flexible, we like the wine and parking discounts. FWIW.

I never use the DDP, it does not work for me. DDE on the other hand is a wonderful thing.

I came to the realization recently however, that nothing is worth two credits. Follow my logic if you will. When you use 2 credits you are in fact saying the meal is worth twice the price of a "normal" meal.

Now I think the food at most of the signature places is definately better than at the "normal" ones. However, thinking in terms of cash, if I am going to drop $20 on an entree at a "normal" place is the signature entree worth $40. No, its not. Maybe $27 to $30 but not double the price.

So yes, the signature places are woth more. (I like Brown Derby, maybe because its the only consistently decent place in DHS) but not double.

I would probably not have done a signature, but I have had no luck with getting some ressies like Ohana. And, I have the meal plan each day I am there, but on the last day, I am really only there for a half day, and doubt I will have time to do a sitdown, unless it was breakfast so I figured I would go for one 2 ticket(unless one of my other reservations finally come through).
