SWW crowds
We just returned from WDW 4-10 June. We were at the Sunday, June 5 SWW with Warwick Davis and Don Bies. Attendence was UNBELIEVEABLE! I was at SWW in 2000 and met Jake Lloyd. As Master Yoda said, back then it was like a normal day at the park. So I was totally unprepared for the crowds. The fast passes to Warwick Davis were gone in less than 40 minutes. At 9:40am I got a stand-by ticket #49. There were Fast Passes for Don Bies left for his 4pm signing but they didn't last too long either. The special SWW trading pins were sold out on Saturday morning! There were 4 hour waits to get into Tatooine Traders on Friday (which I don't understand cause you could go on Star Tours and it dumps into the gift shop). They didn't have some of the SWW shirt designs left either.
My suggestion is to arrive early, make a beeline for Star Tours to get your celebrity fastpass and then head over to the MAIN Indy gift shop where they are also selling SWW souvenirs. Buy any merchandise you want there so you don't have to wait so long at Tatooine Traders. Sign up for any trivia game you want to participate in. Try to get in front of the group for Obi Wannabe a Jedi training if you have kids. My two (ages 7 and 11) both participated and said it was the highlight of the day (maybe even the trip). They got to fight Darth Maul! (Darth Vader is on the stage).
You won't be able to do all things Star Wars cause there will just be too many people trying to do the same things you are. Pick what you want to do the most and enjoy. Make sure to bring a video camera, the Stormtroopers on the roof of the entrance to Disney-MGM are hilarious!
