Any reviews (of THIS years ) Pirate & Princess Party???

Has anyone been to the Pirate & Princess Party THIS year? I was looking under the review page and all the reviews except for one are for last year's event.

I have an Annual Pass (and live in central florida) so I can go to the parks pretty much anytime. The main reason I wanted to go is because I LOVE parades and wanted to see what they did for this event I am just wondering if it is worth the extra $$$.

We went this year on the first night of the party. Unfortunately, we missed a lot of it since we had three small babies who were ready for bed as soon as the fireworks was over. It looked a lot like last year, so I would definetly buy the ticket. Even for what little we seen and did, it was worth the money.

We haven't been (yet) this year but have been reading the reviews on several other fan sites since we're going 3/11...

biggest things we've noticed is:
No candy this year... just plastic jewels, necklaces, etc.
The parade/firework times are no longer listed on the map; now they're on a paper times guides like what you find used for the 4 parks.
Only one parade is being offered so far (8:30p) rather then the two last year. It's rumored that this is connected to the papers time guide and could result in more parades being added due to ticket sales.
Not as many character out as it seemed last year.

Overall... I've read mixed reviews when this years party is compared to last. It still doesn't change our decision to go though! The fireworks show and extra 4 hours in the park make it worth it for us. Both the parade and fireworks are VERY well done and the fireworks are some of the best I've ever seen, anywhere! This party is, in our opinion, the least crowded of any other party disney offers... which results in less crowded parks and makes what we paid that much more worth it!

Thanks for all the info. The video was very cool (I especially liked the fact that they had a real person playing Tink, she is my favorite).

The tickets have been bought for Saturday.

I will be sure to post details Sunday or Monday.
