Any news on the speaking Mickey Mouse?

Does anybody have an idea of when the next-gen speaking Mickey Mouse will be permanent in the Magic Kingdom?

I hope not! I still need to see and talk to it in real life, not YouTube! I wish they would do it with ALL characters without "faces"

I actually think it could be cool, but at the same time it could be kinda freaky too. I could def see kids getting freaked out by it.

I can see myself being a bit freaked out by it .. it scares me

I watched a video recently where some of the key voice actors were interviewed (Mickey's new voice artist included) and he mentioned about how he had to travel with the Mickey and essentially stand behind the scenes doing the voice. Not to say they couldn't a) find another voice actor (kind of like Crush in Turtle Talk) or b) find a way to build a library of possible phrases/responses that are computer controlled by someone behind the scenes.

I thought it was a synthesizer they had for the broader meet and greet Mickey, seeing as the initial tests sounded pretty close to Wayne in spite of him having died before that even started.

They definitely use Bret Iwan for events with the talking Mickey though.

I don't know ... all the kids who watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse would LOVE it.
